Two Hospitalized after Costa Mesa Crash on 55 Freeway near Victoria Street
Costa Mesa, California (October 14, 2019) – A wrong-way driver caused a traffic collision that left two people hospitalized early Sunday morning in Costa Mesa, according to the CHP.
The wreck happened at around 3:36 a.m. October 13, on the 55 Freeway just north of Victoria Street.
CHP said a Toyota Camry was heading north in the southbound lanes of the Freeway when it collided with an oncoming Ford Expedition.
A nurse passing by stopped at the scene and attended to the victims of the crash.
2 Injured in Costa Mesa Wrong-Way Crash
Two people were transported to a hospital for further treatment. There was no update on the conditions of the victims.
No further details were released.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
