Wheelchair Rider Killed in Palmdale Pedestrian Crash on East Palmdale Boulevard
Palmdale, California (October 14, 2019) – A wheelchair rider was struck and killed by a vehicle on Saturday night in Palmdale, according to the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station.
The crash happened shortly before 8 p.m. October 12, in the 2200 block of East Palmdale Boulevard.
Deputies said a 2003 Nissan was traveling eastbound on East Palmdale Boulevard when it struck a 71-year-old man riding his motorized wheelchair across the road.
Person Killed in Palmdale Pedestrian Crash
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan, a 31-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Investigators said alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
