78-Year-Old Man Killed in South Lake Tahoe Crash on Highway 50 near Lakeland Village
South Lake Tahoe, California (October 7, 2019) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Sunday night in South Lake Tahoe.
According to police, the crash happened shortly before 8 p.m. October 6, on Highway 50 near Lakeland Village .
A 78-year-old man was walking across Highway 50 outside of a crosswalk when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
Man Killed in South Lake Tahoe Hit-And-Run Crash
The victim was killed in the crash. His identity was not immediately released.
Police said the driver who fled the scene was operating a dark sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry. The vehicle may have front passenger-side damage due to the crash.
The South Lake Tahoe police are investigating the incident.
