Riders Injured in Los Padres National Forest Motorcycle Accident on Highway 33

Los Padres National Forest, California (October 6, 2019) – A motorcyclist was hospitaized after being involved in a traffic collision in Los Padres National Forest Saturday afternoon , according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident, which was reported at about 1:54 p.m. October 5, occurred on Highway 33, also known as Maricopa Highway above Ojai.
The CHP said two motorcyclists were involved in the crash. The manner in which the collision happened has not yet been disclosed to this time.

One of the motorcyclists identified as a 35-year-old man sustained major injuries and was rushed to Ventura County Medical Center by a Ventura County helicopter.
The other rider, 53-year-old male victim suffered minor injuries in the crash.
The identities and current condition of the injured parties remain unknown.
The investigation is underway.
