Somis, CA: Multi-Car Accident on Highway 118
5 Injured in Somis Crash on Highway 118 and Price Road
Somis, California (October 6, 2019) – Five people were injured Sunday afternoon in a traffic accident involving three vehicles in Somis, according to authorities.
The crash was reported at about 2:48 p.m. on Highway 118 and Price Road. Highway 118 is also known as Los Angeles Avenue.
According to a report the California Highway Patrol, the accident involved a pickup truck and two passenger vehicles.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated one person who was trapped inside the wreckage.
The CHP said the freed person and four other people suffered minor injuries in the crash.
The highway was shut down in both directions between Center School Road and Aggen Road for an unknown time. As of 4:30 p.m., the road was reopened.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
