Manuel Valenzuela Arrested after Fatal California City Motorcycle Crash on Neauralia Road

California City, California (October 4, 2019) – A man has been arrested following a fatal traffic collision in California City that left a motorcyclist dead in June, according to the California City Police Department.
The wreck happened on Neuralia Road between Mendiburu and Phillips roads on Monday, June 3.
CHP said the driver of a big rig hauling bottled water told investigators that he had collided head-on with a motorcyclist that swerved in front of him.
The motorcyclist, later identified as Kyra Adams, 47, died in the crash.
Manuel Valenzuela Arrested after Fatal California City Motorcycle Crash
An investigation conducted later revealed that Adams had not swerved into the big rig’s path but her motorcycle had broken down on the side of the road. The big rig driver failed to slow down and crashed into her.
The driver of the big rig, identified as Manuel Valenzuela, 64, was arrested at his home in California City and booked into the Kern County City Jail on Thursday.
The crash is under investigation.
