Turlock, CA: Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Two Vehicles on Highway 99, October 1
41-Year-Old Riverbank Man Killed in Turlock Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 at Lander Avenue Tuesday night

Turlock, California (October 2, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by two vehicles in Turlock Tuesday night, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at around 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, October 1 on southbound Highway 99 at Lander Avenue.
The CHP said Dipali Vasadia, 40, of Santa Rosa, was driving her 2018 Chevrolet on the roadway when the pedestrian ran from the center median into the path of her vehicle. The right front of the Chevy hit the pedestrian.
The pedestrian then continued westbound into the path of a 2018 Volvo big rig operated by Arnold Valencia, 36, of Atwater.
The pedestrian, only identified a 41-year-old Riverbank man, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
Vasadia and Valencia were not injured in the crash.
It remained unclear if the pedestrian was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
