Ronald Fuote ID’d as 76-Year-Old Man Killed in Malibu Pedestrian Crash on Pacific Coast Highway near Rambla Pacifico Street

Malibu, California (September 30, 2019) – The elderly pedestrian who was on Friday evening struck and killed by a vehicle in Malibu has been identified as Ronald Fuote, 76, of Calabasas, according to a report by the authorities.
The crash was reported at about 7:20 p.m. September 27, on Pacific Coast Highway near Rambla Pacifico Street.
Deputies said Fuote was trying to cross PCH outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle.

Fuote was pronounced deceased at the site of the crash.
The driver of the involved vehicle reportedly stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Both directions of the Pacific Coast Highway were closed as officials worked on the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
