Minor injuries Sustained in Eureka Car Accident at 4th and R Streets
Eureka, California (September 24, 2019) – One person was hurt in a traffic collision involving two vehicles in the area of Eureka on Monday afternoon
The car collision was reported just before 1:00 p.m. September 23, at the intersection of 4th and R Street.
As per the report, the accident involved a Dodge van and a Subaru SUV. The initial report indicated that the Van was traveling westbound on 4th Street when it ran a red light and struck the SUV going south on R Street. Due to the impact, the SUV landed on its side.

The driver of the van sustained minor injuries in the crash while the male driver of the SUV was uninjured. Humboldt Bay Fire and City Ambulance responded to the scene shortly after the wreck.
The crash resulted in the closure of one lane of 4th Street for about 45 minutes.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by Eureka police.
