Police Officer Hospitalized after Santa Ana Crash at Civic Center and Main Street
Santa Ana, California (September 23, 2019) – A police officer was hospitalized this morning after a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Santa Ana.
According to the authorities, the wreck happened at about 1:30 a.m. at Civic Center and Main Street.
A Santa Ana police officer in a patrol vehicle was hit by a driver who reportedly ran a red light at the intersection.

The officer was rushed to a hospital for evaluation and was expected to be ok.
The other driver was not injured.
There were no reports of citations but the driver who ran the light was given a field sobriety test.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
