CHP Investigating Fatal 80 Freeway Motorcycle Crash at Pomona Street in Crockett
Crockett, California (September 23, 2019) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a motorcycle accident that occurred Sunday evening in Crockett leaving one person dead.
The incident occurred at around 6:25 p.m. on eastbound 80 Freeway at Pomona Street.
According to CHP, a black Harley Davidson and a Honda car were heading eastbound when the motorcyclist crashed into the rear of the Honda.
The rider was ejected from the bike; fell over the Carquinez Bridge onto the rail tracks under it, and into the water.
Authorities confirmed that the motorcyclist died in the crash.
The collision forced the closure of the two right lanes of the eastbound 80 Freeway for an unknown period.
