Injury Car Accident on Highway 168 in Clovis
Minor Injuries Sustained in Clovis Crash on Highway 168 near Fowler Avenue Off-Ramp
Clovis, California (September 22, 2019) – Authorities are investigating an alleged DUI crash that happened early Sunday morning in Clovis.
The accident happened just after 2:30 a.m. on Highway 168 near the Fowler Avenue off-ramp.
The California Highway Patrol officers said a woman was driving an SUV on Highway 168 when for an unknown reason she crashed and her vehicle rolled over near the Fowler Avenue exit.
Two other SUVs pulled off to the side of the roadway and the drivers got out to assist, but a pickup truck plowed right through and struck all three of them. One of the SUVs totaled and burst into flames.
Firefighters responded to the scene and put out the fire. Authorities said the crash resulted in minor injuries. However, the number of the injured parties was not immediately known.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The highway was reopened just after 4:00 a.m.
Meanwhile, the crash remains under investigation.
