Rider Critically Hurt in Mountain View Motorcycle Accident on Southbound Highway 101
Mountain View, California (September 20, 2019) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after being involved in a traffic collision in the area of Mountain View late Thursday morning, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The motorcycle collision was reported at approximately 11:19 a.m. September 19, along Highway 101 just north of Shoreline Boulevard off-ramp.
The CHP said one of the panels of a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with a trailer and a compressor flew off for unknown reasons and struck a motorcycle on the Highway.
Motorcyclist Hospitalized After in Mountain View Motorcycle Accident
The motorcyclist sustained major injuries in the crash. The victim was attended to by fire department officials along with the paramedics and then rushed to the hospital for further treatment. The identity and current condition of the injured party have not yet been released to this time.
The driver of the pickup stopped following the wreck and cooperated with the officials’ investigation.
The investigation is still ongoing.
