Glenn County, California (September 19, 2019) – David Stevens, 29, of Redding, has been identified as one of the two people who were injured Thursday morning in a traffic crash in Glenn County.

The accident happened in the area of Interstate 5 and Highway 32.

The California Highway Patrol said Stevens was driving southbound on Interstate 5 when his 2002 Ford Explorer drifted into the oleanders that divided the lanes. That caused the vehicle to flip over onto the northbound lanes, where it collided with a northbound 2005 Ford Escape.

Stevens was taken to Enloe Medical Center with major injuries. The driver of the Ford Escape sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Alcohol or drugs were not suspected factors in the crash.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
