Kelly Blake Dies after San Joaquin Boating Crash near Ski Beach

San Joaquin County, California (September 16, 2019) – 24-year-old Kelly Blake of Discovery Bay has been identified as the woman killed in a boating accident in San Joaquin County, according to authorities.
The deadly boating crash happened at around 7:15 p.m. Saturday, September 14, in the San Joaquin River Delta, just south of the Woodward Island Ferry near Ski Beach.
As per the CHP officials, two boats crashed in the Delta near Ski Beach. The location is known as a spot for waterskiing and partying.
Authorities alleged one of the boats to have struck the other before fleeing the scene. The boat later called 911 and was in touch with officials.

Responding emergency crews declared Blake dead at the crash site. At least five persons suffered injuries as a result of the crash and were transported to San Joaquin County hospitals. An unknown number of persons from the fleeing boat was transported to a hospital in Contra Costa County.
The names of the patients and their current condition were not immediately released.
Officials did not say if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
