Compton Man Dies in Inglewood Pedestrian Crash on 405 Freeway near Century Boulevard
Inglewood, California (September 14, 2019) – A 28-year-old Compton man was fatally hit by vehicles on Friday night in Inglewood, according to the authorities.
The incident took place on 405 Freeway near Century Boulevard at about 11:30 p.m. on Friday, September 13.
CHP said the Compton man was struck by two vehicles after he walked into the southbound lanes of the freeway. The first driver in a dark-colored vehicle fled the scene after the incident. The second driver, a 64-year-old Compton man, was operating a Toyota Camry and remained at the scene.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
