Two Killed in Redding Car Crash on I-5 near McCardle Flat Road
Redding, California (September 14, 2019) – Two people were killed in a wrong-way traffic collision early Friday morning in Redding, according to the CHP.
The wreck happened at around 2:33 a.m. September 13, on Interstate 5, south of McCardle Flat Road.
CHP said a Dodge truck was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-5 when he collided head-on with an oncoming Ford truck.
Two Killed in Redding Car Crash on I-5
The two occupants of the Ford were killed in the crash. Their names were not immediately released by the authorities.
The driver and passenger in the Dodge were taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Dodge was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The crash is under investigation.
