U.S. Postal Worker Injured in Crash on Highland Avenue in National City
Postal Worker Hurt in National City Crash on Highland Avenue

National City, California (September 13, 2019) – A U.S. Postal Services worker was pinned in a traffic collision on Thursday afternoon in National City, according to the police.
The crash took place at about 1 p.m. September 12, on Highland Avenue.
Police said an elderly man had a seizure while driving and collided with a U.S. Postal Services truck. A worker who was retrieving a mail was pinned by the truck.
A witness rushed to help put the car in reverse and freed the worker.
Paramedics responded to the crash and transported the worker to UC San Diego Medical Center with major leg injuries.
The car driver was also transported to a hospital.
The National City police are investigating the incident.
