Laurie Trejo ID’d as Rider Seriously Injured in Santa Margarita Motorcycle Crash on Highway 58
Santa Margarita, California (September 13, 2019) – Laurie A. Trejo, 34, was seriously injured in a motorcycle collision involving a hit-and-run driver on Monday morning near Santa Margarita, according to the authorities.
The crash was reported just after 9 a.m. September 9, on Highway 58 near the Santa Margarita Cemetery.
CHP said a 2004 Dodge flatbed truck was traveling eastbound on Highway 58 when the driver tried to pass two big rigs and collided with an oncoming motorcycle driven by Trejo.

Trejo was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
The driver of the truck fled the scene after the crash. Authorities later located the driver and questioned him. There were no reports of arrests in connection with the incident.
The crash remains under investigation.
