Jason Escobar Dies after Downey Pedestrian Accident at Imperial Highway and Barlin Avenue

Downey, California (September 11, 2019) – 26-year-old Jason Escobar has been identified as one of the pedestrians killed after a traffic crash that happened late last month at an intersection in Downey, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The fatal collision occurred at Imperial Highway and Barlin Avenue at around 8:07 p.m. Wednesday, August 28th.
As per the report, a male and a female were hit by a car at the junction for unknown reasons.

Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene and rushed the two victims to the hospital for treatment of severe injuries. Jason died of his injuries a while after he was admitted at the hospital while the woman died two days later.
The Imperial Highway was closed by the authorities to give way to the investigation.
Details concerning the involved driver were not immediately released.
