Ariana Cervantes Killed in Downey Pedestrian Accident at Imperial Highway and Barlin Avenue in Downey
Downey, California (September 11, 2019) – One of the pedestrians who died after a traffic accident that happened late last month in Downey, Los Angeles County, has been identified as 28-year-old Ariana Cervantes.
The accident happened at about 8:07 p.m. Wednesday, August 28th at Imperial Highway and Barlin Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol said a man and a woman were struck by a vehicle near the intersection in unclear circumstances.

Responding emergency crews rushed the two victims to the hospital for treatment in critical conditions.
The woman, who was later identified as Ariana Cervantes, succumbed to her injuries two days later on Friday, August 30th.
A video clip has surfaced showing Cervantes being wheeled to the hospital
Information about the involved driver was not immediately available.
Officials closed Imperial Highway to give way to an on-scene investigation.
An investigation by the California Highway Patrol is underway.
