1 Killed in Oceanside Motorcycle Crash on 5 Freeway near Las Flores Drive
Oceanside, California (September 11, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a deadly collision that happened on Wednesday morning in the area of Oceanside.
The deadly collision occurred on Interstate 5 near Las Flores Drive at about 6:50 a.m.
As per the CHP officials, a motorcycle and a truck collided for reasons yet to be determined. The motorcycle went underneath the truck following the collision.
Fatal Motorcycle Crash on 5 Freeway and Las Flores Drive
Responding firefighters declared one person dead at the crash site. The name of the deceased was not immediately released awaiting notification of next of kin.
Officials issued a SigAlert at around 7:00 a.m. closing at least two traffic lanes following the crash.
No other information regarding this crash was provided.
An investigation is underway.
