Doug Stanley Injured in Suspected DUI Crash on Lincoln Way in Auburn
Auburn Man Doug Stanley ID’d as Rider Critically Injured in Auburn Motorcycle Crash on Lincoln Way

Auburn, California (September 11, 2019) – The motorcyclist who was critically injured in a suspected DUI collision on Monday afternoon in Auburn has been identified as Doug Stanley of Auburn, according to a local news source.
The crash happened in the 100 block of Lincoln Way shortly after 3:30 p.m. September 9.
Police said Matthew J. Griswold was driving westbound on Lincoln Way when, for unknown reasons, he drifted across the double yellow lines and collided with an oncoming motorcycle driven by Stanley.
Stanley was taken to a hospital with critical injuries. His 10-year-old son Jett was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle. He was also taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Griswold was found to have been drunk at the time of the collision and was arrested on suspicion of DUI. The crash is under investigation.
