Jeanie Gilbert Among 2 Seriously Injured in Yucca Valley Motorcycle Crash on Old Woman Springs Road and Eureka Road
Yucca Valley, California (September 11, 2019) – Jeanie Gilbert, 42, of Twentynine Palms, was among two people hospitalized with major injuries following a motorcycle collision on Monday night in the Flamingo Heights area, according to the CHP.
The wreck happened at about 7:55 p.m. September 9, on Old Woman Springs Road and Eureka Road.
CHP said a 1992 Chevrolet S 10 truck driven by Laura Harris, 58, of Yucca Valley, was stopped on southbound Old Woman Springs Road waiting to turn left into Eureka Road when it was rear-ended by a 2000 Suzuki TL1000R motorcycle.
Jeanie Gilbert, who was a passenger in the motorcycle, and the rider were both ejected from the motorcycle by the impact. They were both transported to Desert Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
Drugs and alcohol were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
