CHP Investigating Fatal Stockton Bicycle Crash on Highway 88 near Fairchild Road in Sunland
Sunland, California (September 10, 2019) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a bicycle accident that happened Friday night in Stockton leaving one person dead.
The accident occurred at approximately 11:09 p.m. on Highway 88, also known as Waterloo Road, near Fairchild Road.
Authorities said a bicyclist was struck by a car for unknown reasons.
The rider died of injuries sustained in the collision.
The driver of the vehicle stopped and remained at the scene after the crash.
An investigation into the crash is in progress.
