Driver Killed, Passenger Badly Hurt in Salinas Car Accident on Constitution Boulevard
Salinas, California (September 10, 2019) – A driver was killed and a passenger seriously hurt in a traffic collision in Salinas on Sunday, a local news source reported.
The fatal crash happened on September 8, along Constitution Boulevard.
The initial report indicated that a 1998 BMW lost control on the highway and struck the curb. Due to the impact, the BMW went airborne and rolled before it stopped against a sound wall. Emergency teams arrived at the scene shortly after the wreck and affirmed that the wreck involved another vehicle.
A 19-year-old passenger sustained severe injuries in the crash. Paramedics rushed the victim to Natividad Medical Center for treatment.
The BMW driver was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Police mentioned speed was a factor at the time of the collision.
The investigation is still ongoing.
