1 Critically Injured in Santa Maria Bicycle Accident at Betteravia and Westgate
Santa Maria, California (September 9, 2019) – A bicyclist was struck and injured by a vehicle in Santa Maria on Monday night, according to a Santa Maria police report.
The bicycle collision happened at approximately 10:15 p.m. September 9, in the area of West Betteravia and Westgate roads.
A cyclist was struck by a vehicle of unspecified built at the intersection for unknown reasons.
The cyclist sustained major injuries in the crash. The victim was then rushed to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle fled from the scene and was sought on Monday night.
The investigation is still ongoing.
