Palm Desert, California (September 9, 2019) – The authorities have disclosed the identity of a woman who was hit and killed by a truck in Palm Desert on Monday morning.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened in the area of Highway 74 and Hay Stack Road near Alamo Drive at about 7:19 a.m.
According to a local news source, 65-year-old Thereseem Smith of Palm Desert was walking in the area when she was hit by a pickup truck driven by a 61-year-old Palm Desert man.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
