1 Killed in El Cajon Pedestrian Accident on North Johnson Avenue
El Cajon, California (September 5, 2019) – A person was struck and killed by a truck in El Cajon on Thursday morning.
The fatal crash happened in the morning hours on September 5, on North Johnson Avenue just north of Fletcher Parkway.
The pedestrian was hit by a vehicle of unspecified built while crossing the road outside a crosswalk. As per the report, the driver did not appear to be speeding at the time of the collision.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene following the wreck. The name of the deceased has not yet been released to this time.
The crash resulted in the closure of Johnson Avenue between Vernon Way and Fesler Street for several hours while police conducted the investigation.
The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation.
