34-Year-Old Guadalupe Perez-Perez Killed in Desert Hot Springs Multi-Car Accident at Palm Drive and 20th Avenue
Desert Hot Springs, California (September 3, 2019) – 34-year-old Guadalupe Perez-Perez of Desert Hot Springs was killed in a traffic collision where a woman was also fatally injured, and nine others were hospitalized in Desert Hot Springs on Monday night.
The collision happened at approximately 8:31 p.m. September 2, at Palm Drive and 20th Avenue
As per the Desert Hot Springs Police Department, the accident involved six vehicles which collided at the intersection for unknown reasons.
Victim Killed in Desert Hot Springs Multi-Car Accident ID’d as Guadalupe Perez-Perez
Dawn Andrus-Schienker, 64, a resident of Joshua Tree, tragically sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. It was not clear whether or not Andrus-Schienker was the driver or a passenger of one of the six vehicles.
Perez-Perez was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Nine other victims were confirmed to have been injured in the wreck. All nine parties were rushed by ambulance to local area medical centers.
The crash resulted in the closure of Palm Drive from 20th to Varner until 7:31 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The crash remains under investigation by the Desert Hot Springs authorities.
