Lawrence Meyerhoff III Killed in End-Of-Pursuit Accident at White Avenue and College Lane in La Verne
Lawrence Meyerhoff III ID’d as 1 of 2 Drivers Killed in La Verne Car Accident at White Avenue and College Lane

La Verne, California (September 2, 2019) – One of the two drivers who were killed Thursday night after a police chase ended in a traffic accident in La Verne has been identified as Lawrence Meyerhoff III, 34, of LaVerne.
A La Verne Police Department report indicated that the incident began at about 8:50 p.m. Thursday, August 29 when police officers attempted to pull over a red Acura Integra for running a stop sign in the area of White Avenue and Arrow Highway.
The driver now identified as Meyerhoff decided to flee from the police and was seen running at least one red traffic light as he eluded authorities. The Acura ended up colliding with a black Toyota Corolla driven by Marlet Reyes, 68, of La Verne near the intersection. The initial report showed that the Acura appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the collision.
Two occupants of the Corolla and three people in the Acura were transported by paramedics to local hospitals where Meyerhoff and Reyes were sadly pronounced dead and all three other passengers were listed in critical condition.
