Motorcyclist Killed, 2 Injured in Whiskeytown Motorcycle Accident on Highway 299

Whiskeytown, California (August 31, 2019) – A rider was killed, and two others were hurt in a traffic collision in the area of west Whiskeytown on Saturday afternoon.
The collision happened at about 1:30 p.m. August 31, on Highway 299.
A California Highway Patrol report indicated that a motorcyclist traveling on the westbound side of Highway 299 veered over into the eastbound side and collided with a pick-up truck for reasons still under investigation. Due to the impact, the rider was trapped between his motorcycle and the pick-up truck.
The motorcyclist was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and a passenger in the pick-up truck were both rushed to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The identities of both the wounded victims and the deceased have not yet been released to this time.
The investigation is underway.
