Sacramento, California (August 27, 2019) – A scooter was severely hurt in a traffic collision in Sacramento on Monday afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.

The crash occurred at around 2:18 p.m. August 26, at the intersection of Horgan Way and Norris Avenue.

As per the CHP report, the accident involved a maroon Chrysler and a scooter which collided at the intersection. The initial report indicated that the Chrysler made an illegal U-turn in front of the motor scooter, causing its operator to slam into the vehicle.

The scooter sustained severe injuries in the crash. The victim was attended to by paramedics along with Sacramento Fire Department officials and then rushed to the hospital for further medication. The current condition and the identity of the wounded party have not yet been disclosed to this time.

It was not clear whether or not the driver of the involved vehicle stopped after the wreck and cooperated with the officials.

The investigation is underway.
