3 Hospitalized after Highway 1 Car Collision near Big Creek Bridge in Big Sur

Big Sur, California (August 26, 2019) – Three people were hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Monday morning in Big Sur, Monterey County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The collision transpired at about 11:56 a.m. on Highway 1 at Big Creek Bridge.
As per the report, a driver of a pickup truck experienced a medical incident and sideswiped a parked car before crashing head-on into another vehicle traveling the opposite direction. The two vehicles that collided head-on went off the roadway after the impact.
Three people were transported to hospitals with unspecified injuries.
All the cars were towed away from the collision scene.
CHP is investigating the accident.
