Yoko Beers Killed in Fatal Fountain Valley Crash

Fountain Valley, California (August 21, 2019) – 86-year-old Yoko Beers of Santa Ana has been identified as the person killed after a traffic crash on Thursday, early this month, in the area of Fountain Valley, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The crash happened at around 3:57 p.m. on Thursday, August 8th at undisclosed road or street.

As per the dispatch, an SUV and a pickup truck crashed for reasons still under investigation.

Responding firefighters along with paramedics attended to the injured parties. Beers, a passenger in the SUV, was rushed to UC Irvine Medical Center where she was hospitalized for several days. Beers succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday morning.

At least two other persons involved in the crash suffered injuries as a result of the crash and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

No additional information concerning this crash was provided.

An investigation is underway.
