Man Severely Injured in Escondido Pedestrian Accident on Midway Drive Near Valley Parkway
Escondido, California (August 21, 2019) – A man sustained severe head injury after being struck by a truck in the area of Escondido Wednesday morning, Escondido Police Department reported.
The collision was reported at around 7:00 a.m. August 21, on Midway Drive near Valley Parkway.
As per the report, a male party driver was making a right turn in a Nissan Titan pickup when he struck a man in his late 40s who was trying to cross the street at the corner of an intersection. It wasn’t immediately clear if the pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash.

The male pedestrian sustained severe injuries in the accident. He was transported to the hospital by paramedics for treatment of major head injury.
The police affirmed that alcohol or drugs were not a factor at the time of the collision. The driver of the involved truck stopped after the crash and cooperated with the officials’ investigation.
