Kern County, California (August 14, 2019) – A pedestrian was fatally hit by a car Tuesday night in McKittrick, a census-designated place in Kern County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident took place at about 8:53 p.m. on southbound Highway 33, just south of Lost Hills Road.
As per the CHP report, a driver called officials reporting that he had hit a pedestrian.
Cal Fire, alongside paramedics, responded to the scene and confirmed that the victim died in the accident.
There were no other details given on the incident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
