67-Year-Old Woman Killed in Wrightwood Pedestrian Accident on Pinon Pines Road

Wrightwood, California (July 31, 2019) – A female party, 67, was struck by a water truck and died in Wrightwood on Tuesday, according to the California Highway Patrol report.
The fatal collision was reported on July 30, on Pinon Pines Road.
As per the CHP dispatch, the accident happened when a1999 Peterbilt water truck driven by 27-year-old Pinon Hills man hit the pedestrian for reasons still under investigation. The initial report showed that the female party was struck by the left front tire of the truck whose driver was making a delivery to her horse property.

The victim sustained severe injuries in the wreck. She was rushed to Desert Valley Hospital by paramedics where she later died. The name of the deceased has not yet been released to this time.
The investigation is underway.
