Man Injured in Rainbow Car Accident on Interstate 15 near Mission Road
Rainbow, California (July 25, 2019) – A man was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Rainbow Thursday morning, according to a local news source.
The wreck occurred at around 5:10 a.m. on Interstate 15, just north of Mission Road.
Authorities said a van rear-ended a slow-moving semi-truck on northbound Interstate 15. As a result of the collision, the front of the van was crushed and the engine ignited.
Injury Car Accident near Fallbrook Thursday
Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated the 31-year-old Oceanside driver who was trapped inside the van. The man was then airlifted to Palomar Medical Center with moderate injuries.
A SigAlert was issued at around 6:40 a.m. for the closure of both northbound and southbound lanes.
No further information was immediately provided.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
