Santa Rosa, California (July 24, 2019) – The authorities have disclosed the identity of a bicyclist who was fatally struck by a car in Santa Rosa early Tuesday morning.
The fatal bicycle accident happened on Petaluma Hill Road at Hopi Trail at about 12:15 a.m. according to a local news source.
The authorities said 39-year-old Joseph Converse was riding a bicycle on Petaluma Hill Road when he was hit by a Ford Focus driven by a 28-year-old Santa Rosa woman.
The impact of the collision ejected the rider onto the roadway where he was hit by a passing Subaru Legacy driven by a 28-year-old Rohnert Park woman.

Converse was killed in the collision.
