2 Drivers Sustains Major Injuries in Merced Crash at Foothill Drive and G Street
Merced, California (June 4, 2019) – Two drivers were seriously injured Tuesday morning in a multi-car crash at a Merced intersection, according to a local news source.
The wreck happened at about 10:47 a.m. at the intersection of Foothill Drive and G Street.
As per the report, a Chevrolet 3500 pickup truck was heading southbound on G Street when its driver failed to stop at a stop sign at the Merced intersection and collided with a BMW 3 series that was making a left-hand turn from Foothill Drive onto G Street.
The BMW spun across the roadway upon the impact. The BMW then slammed into a Toyota Camry stopped on northbound G Street.

Paramedics responded to the scene and provided medical aid to two drivers who sustained major injuries as a result of the crash. The driver of the BMW was then airlifted to a Modesto Area Hospital while the Chevrolet driver was transported by a ground ambulance to Mercy Medical Center.
The names of the patients and their conditions were not immediately disclosed.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
