2 Injured in Car Accident on 60 Freeway near Garey Avenue in Pomona
Pomona, California (November 1, 2020) – One person was seriously injured after a vehicle crashed into a disabled car on a freeway in Pomona on Sunday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Pomona (60) Freeway near Garey Avenue at about 1:33 p.m.
The authorities said a 2007 Honda Accord was traveling on the freeway when it crashed into a 2002 Honda Accord that was stalled in the carpool lane.
The 42-year-old driver of the 2002 Honda was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the 2007 Honda was also transported to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
It wasn’t immediately known why the vehicle was stalled.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
