Ventura Man Killed in Rollover Crash on Highway 101 near Borchard Road in Newbury Park
Newbury Park, California (January 4, 2021) – A 53-year-old Ventura man was killed in a rollover collision in Newbury Park on Monday morning.
The fatal collision happened on Highway 101 near the Borchard Road exit and was reported at about 7:34 a.m.
A Good Samaritan told the California Highway Patrol that he had spotted an overturned pickup truck on some bushes near the highway.
Responding officers and paramedics arrived at the scene to find a gray GMC pickup on its side.
The male driver who was the sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The authorities are still trying to determine the circumstances of the crash.
