West Sacramento, CA: DUI Crash at Industrial and Parkway Boulevards
1 Critically Injured in West Sacramento Crash at Industrial and Parkway Boulevards
West Sacramento, California (May 1, 2021) – One person was critically injured Friday afternoon in an alleged DUI crash at an intersection in West Sacramento, police said.
At about 12:04 p.m. Friday, April 30, emergency personnel responded to the area of Industrial and Parkway boulevards to investigate a report of a traffic collision.
According to the police, a vehicle crashed into a parked vehicle for unknown reasons at the intersection of Industrial and Parkway boulevards.
One person inside the parked vehicle was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities later determined that the male driver of the vehicle that hit the parked vehicle was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident. He was ultimately arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Police blocked the roadway for several hours during the investigation.
