Tyjhai Ladet Seriously Injured Fatal 3-Car Crash on Palmdale Boulevard in Palmdale
Tyjhai Ladet ID’d as 1 of 5 Victims Injured in Fatal Palmdale Car Crash on Palmdale Boulevard near 80th Street East

Palmdale, California (July 4, 2020) – Authorities have identified Tyjhai Ladet, 18, of Smithville, as one of the five persons who were injured in a deadly multi-vehicle accident on Thursday evening in Sun Village, Palmdale.
At about 6:20 p.m., July 3, the California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly crash on Palmdale Boulevard, east of 80th Street East
According to the officials’ report, a 2014 Hyundai, operated by a 20-year-old Palmdale man, was traveling eastbound on Palmdale Boulevard when it drifted into the westbound lane where it collided head-on with a 2020 Toyota, operated by Tori Ann Haywood, 42, of Smithville.
The CHP said another 2021 Hyundai, driven by Tia Perkins, 21, of McMinnville, was also involved in the mishap. The 2021 Hyundai was traveling westbound on Palmdale Boulevard behind the Toyota at the time.

Haywood and the 2014 Hyundai driver sustained fatal injuries in the crash.
Ladet sustained major injuries in the crash and was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment. Ladet was a passenger in the Toyota.
Three other passengers in the Toyota, all from Smithville, suffered moderate injuries and were also taken to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment.
M.N. Ankenbrandt, 20, of Lancaster, was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital with major injuries. She was a passenger in the 2014 Hyundai.
Perkins was not injured in the accident.
