Compton, California (May 19, 2021) – The authorities are searching for a hit-and-run motorist who fled after striking and injuring two children in Compton on May 9, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The accident took place in the afternoon of May 9 on Compton Avenue, south of 92nd Street.
2 Children Injured in Compton Hit-And-Run Crash
Police said two 8-year-old children were walking west across Compton Avenue when they were hit by a southbound Chevrolet Cruze.
The involved driver fled from the scene after the accident.
Both children were transported to a hospital with critical injuries.
Police are searching for the driver who hit the children.
