Shawn Soucy and 12-Year-Old Boy Injured in Livermore Snowmobile Crash on Round Pond

Livermore, California (February 13, 2019) – A man and child were injured Saturday afternoon when two snowmobiles they were driving collided in Livermore, authorities said.
The collision took place at about 1:25 p.m. Saturday, February 9 on Round Pond.
According to the authorities, Shawn Soucy, 44, of Chesterville, was driving a 2003 Ski-Doo Renegade 800 when he collided with a 2008 Yamaha FX Nitro 1000 operated by a 12-year-old boy.
Soucy sustained leg injuries and the boy suffered possible internal injuries. Both were transported to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
Investigators said speed and inattention might have contributed to the accident.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
