Madera County, CA: CHP Investigating Major Injury Crash Involving Big Rig on Highway 41

Madera County, California (May 12, 2021) – At least one person suffered major injuries in a traffic collision involving a big rig that happened Tuesday afternoon in O’Neals, Madera County,  the California Highway Patrol said.

Authorities received reports about the accident at around 1:26 p.m. on northbound Highway 41 at N Fork Road.

According to CHP, a Nissan 350Z collided with a semi-truck under unclear circumstances.

The northbound lanes of the highway were blocked following the crash.

Authorities said at least one person suffered major injuries in the wreck. Paramedics responded to transport the patient to the hospital.

Caltrans was requested to respond to the scene and repair a traffic lane that was destroyed in the collision.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
