Lodi, CA: 50-Year-Old Pilot Hurt in Plane Crash near Peltier Road and Dustin Road

Lodi, California (April 29, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Tuesday evening plane crash that left a 50-year-old male pilot injured in Lodi.

As per the police logs, the crash occurred at around 6:00 p.m., on April 28, between Peltier and Dustin roads.

A single-engine Cessna 177, flown by the 50-year-old pilot, had just taken off from Lodi Airport at about 2:00 p.m. when it crashed, according to the authorities.

The pilot told the police that he experienced engine trouble around 6 p.m., and has he tried an emergency landing, the plane unfortunately crashed.

The pilot was hospitalized with minor injuries. He was the only occupant in the single-engine plane.

More details about the crash were not immediately available.

The FAA is investigating the crash.
