Linda, California (May 1, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal Linda crash that happened Friday morning on Highway 70.

The incident occurred just after 5:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes, near the off-ramp to Feather River Boulevard.

Two vehicles collided for unknown reasons, and one of them overturned in a ditch.

Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the southbound lanes of the highway at Feather River Boulevard.

According to the report, at least one person was killed in the accident.

Traffic was backed up for about half a mile following the collision. All lanes were reopened at 7:04 a.m.

CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the crash.
